Cabin CGI has always stopped short of the thing it is ultimately selling. A reveal render shows the seat, the finishes, the lighting, the livery — everything about the product except the reason a passenger books it. The cabin sits empty, immaculate, waiting for someone who never arrives in the frame.
That omission was never a creative choice. Populating a cabin with a convincing human presence — modelled, rigged, dressed, lit to match the render — has historically cost more than most programmes could justify for a handful of lifestyle shots. So the industry standard became the empty cabin, and the passenger experience was left to real photography, stock imagery, or the viewer's imagination.
What's changed.
AI-assisted image synthesis has changed the economics of that last step — not by replacing the CGI, but by building on top of it. The cabin geometry, the seat, the materials, the livery are still our own verified 3D work, modelled to spec in the same pipeline as every case study on this site. What's new is the ability to populate that accurate environment with a photographic passenger, without the cost of a full character production.
It is not a shortcut that lowers the bar. If anything it raises the amount of scrutiny a shot needs before it earns a place in a deck: hands, fabric behaviour, eyelines, and the way light from a real window falls across skin are all easy to get subtly wrong, and a subtly wrong passenger is more distracting than no passenger at all. Most attempts don't clear that bar. The ones that do are curated by hand, the same way any other deliverable leaves this studio.

What we're testing now.
The images through this piece are internal capability studies, not commissioned work — built on wide-body cabin geometry we know well, as a way of testing how far this approach can go before we offer it as a deliverable. None are tied to a live campaign, and none should be read as work produced in partnership with an airline.

A single convincing frame is one thing. The harder test is whether the same passenger, the same cabin, and the same light hold together across a set — whether a study still reads as one continuous moment rather than a series of isolated renders.

Each study starts from the same discipline as a cabin reveal render: correct geometry, correct materials, correct light. The passenger layer is judged against the same standard — does it read as photographic, does it match the mood the cabin was already lit for, does it hold up at the resolution a launch campaign would demand.
Where this goes.
The likely application isn't replacing the cabin hero shot — that will keep being an empty, immaculate render, because that's what design and engineering teams need to sign off. The opportunity is everything downstream of it: the lifestyle imagery in a press kit, the social content around a launch, the onboard-experience section of a brand campaign, the moment a configurator or investor deck needs to answer "what does it feel like to sit here" rather than "what does it look like empty."
We're not treating this as a finished offer yet. It's a small, growing set of studies, tested against the same bar as everything else we publish, and it will move into commissioned programmes once it consistently clears that bar rather than occasionally reaching it.
